How Has your use of Digital Technology advanced over the 2 years and how has this improved the result of your products?
In the first year we focused more on the garage band software whilst this year we have focused more on final Cut express. From using garage band last year our knowledge of the software was enhanced which made it easier to use this year and when we did use it this year it was quicker because we had experience using the software.
Additionally within our first we used photoshop to get us use to the technology, however we used it more this year in the making off our album covers and magazines articles for our music video projects. This year, we learnt how to use more complicated effects which got us better marks.
Throughout the two years we have frequently used Final Cutt express. We have used this program to edit all off our projects and to add effects such a fades and colour filters . Last year we could only use very basic effects such as fades but this year due to our enhanced knowledge we could effects such as split screens.
Eye Stop Motion was used in small doses due to our group mainly using cameras and final cut express. However we used eye stop in our first project the children's film.
Throughout the two years we have used blogger frequently due to each group have to blog each piece of work and analysis. Furthermore all off the revision notes that we use have been put on the blog.
The internet was used mostly for the research aspect of the projects, especially in the music video when we had to find out what other videos where like in the genre we had chose. Additionally the internet let us use such websites as Facebook and youtube. `we used facebook to connect to the artist and ask them if we can use the song in our media project. Additionally we got ideas for our products from Youtube, for example for our music video we analyzed other hip hop music videos from youtube and used the ideas that we found to help us with our video. The internet had a massive influence on the amount of research.
Google was the main search engine used throught the two years, it was useful if we didn't no something and wanted to search it and 9 times out of 10 it would come up with what we searched for.
