Has using conventions from real media texts in your work enhanced or impeded your creativity?
Voyeurism- Our video is quite voyeuristic as it has people dancing away, this complies with the genre of the music (club/electro) as audiences will expect this from the genre. Although conventionally the video should be voyeuristic, we didn't feel like are creativity was impeded in any way as the ideas that we had were naturally quite voyeuristic.
Lyrics/visuals- There are no lyrics in this song.
Music/visuals- Through most of the song we made the edits cut to the beat as this emphasizes both the music and what is going on in the video. Again this is conventional of this genre but yet again we didn't feel impeded by this as it made the video look so much better.
